The BlueAquaEdu Students’ Competitions has successfully been completed!
In total, three teams participated: two from Greece and one from Latvia.
During their visit to LAMAR fish farm, Rhodes, the students had the opportunity to experience several core operational activities, including net changes, feeding, and harvesting.
They also visited the packaging station, where they observed live packaging procedures and were introduced to cold chain management as well as the relevant ISO standards we follow.
On the third day, the teams worked from the office to prepare their final presentations, focusing on the development of a Business Model for LAMAR’s growth.
On the final day, all teams presented a variety of thoughtful approaches and ideas. It was impressive to see how, within just two days of hands-on experience, they managed to fully grasp the operations of a fish farm and deliver meaningful and insightful proposals.
The winning team was the Kazilas family, who presented the most holistic and well-structured business model.
